Our newest addition to our diagnostic equipment is a computerized tomography (CT) machine.
We are one of a small handful of animal hospitals in the area that provide CT scans, which provide an incomparable degree of information to the doctor to best diagnose and treat your pet.
We utilize two ultrasounds in our hospital. In addition to using ultrasound technology to safely take urine samples, Dr. Kim is trained in performing and reading a variety of ultrasound images, including abdominal, cardiac, thoracic, and reproductive.
We also provide the service to do a needle aspiration guided via ultrasound.
Our facility is equipped with an on-site digital x-ray machine, allowing us to take radiographic images during your appointment and resulting in prompt review and progression of treatment. Our technicians are skilled in taking x-rays and handling patients to make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Dr. Kim is also trained in myelography and epidurography.
In addition to our larger diagnostic equipment, our facility has a state of the art laboratory center in order to perform many in-house tests. Examples include cytology and hematology via microscope, fecal tests, and complete blood counts. We use this daily for both pre-anesthetic bloodwork, hospitalization, and emergency cases.
Diagnostics are an essential part of your pet's health. Veterinarians can better determine a cause or reason of your pet's symptoms when specific tests can give insight to what is going on inside the animal. Diagnostics is a broad category which includes radiology, ultrasonography, tomography, and microscopy.
