The Services Offered at Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

More than anything, we understand owners love their pets and want to keep them close. This often includes traveling with them both across the country and across the world. Below is some information if you are entertaining the prospect of traveling with your pet.

Dr. Kim is a USDA certified veterinarian that can provide adequate documentation for animals to travel outside the country. We regularly complete USDA paperwork for travel to South Korea, Colombia, Equador, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic, but can provide service in order to travel to any country.

The Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital is not obligated to inform clients of what requirements are needed in order to travel to a country of interest, nor is the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital responsible should USDA documentation and/or travel be denied if so due to inadequate planning on the part of the client. Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital offers recommendations and support in order to facilitate the documentation to be submitted and approved, and will work to the best of its ability to make travel documentation efficient and seamless for all parties.

We encourage clients to provide ample time before their travel date in order to ensure their pets documentation is in order.

If you are traveling within the United States (interstate), each state has different requirements in order to travel. These requirements generally include a health certificate, current rabies vaccination certificates, blood testing, etc.

The link below will take you to the USDA/APHIS website where you can determine what is necessary for your pet to have to travel to a particular state.
